In a bid to strengthen ties and explore avenues for collaboration, a delegation from Apadilangit paid a visit to the National Astronomical Research Institute of Thailand (NARIT) on February 2nd and 3rd, 2024. Led by Hafez Murtza, CEO, and Founder of Apadilangit, the delegation comprised 13 members, including key figures from the organisation's leadership and education teams, student and parent.

The delegation was graciously welcomed by Dr. Saran Poshyachinda, Executive Director of NARIT, and Wichan Insiri, Director of International Relations Affairs. The visit marked the fourth official meeting between Apadilangit and NARIT since Mr. Hafez's last lone visit.

Aiming to foster a deeper relationship, the objectives of the visit were multi-faceted. Firstly, it sought to strengthen the existing bond between Apadilangit and NARIT. Secondly, the delegation aimed to explore collaborative opportunities in education and technology transfer. Lastly, the visit aimed to inspire the Apadilangit team through exposure to NARIT's cutting-edge facilities and expertise.

During the visit, Dr. Saran engaged in an exclusive three-hour meeting with the Apadilangit delegation, underlining the commitment of both parties to meaningful collaboration. The delegation participated in a series of workshops and discussions into topics ranging from education and planetarium insights to advanced technology development. The briefing was led by Mr Jessada. Mr Suparerk Karuehanon, Director of Office of Academic Affairs and Services happily presents a gift for Apadilangit. 

Apadilangit members were treated to a tour of NARIT's state-of-the-art mechatronics labs, where they observed the innovative glass coating machine developed by NARIT, Satellite guidance, navigation and control system laboratory and 3-Axis milling machine laboratory. Additionally, they explored the Sarenkov radiation telescope project (Cherenkov Telescope Array) CTA, gaining valuable insights into NARIT's technology contribution and research endeavours.

On the following day, the Apadilangit team had the opportunity to visit NARIT's Radio Telescopes, including the impressive 40-meter and 13-meter telescopes. As part of their visit, they also participated in the NARIT TNO Open House, experiencing the mesmerising night sky at Doi Inthanon.

In light of the visit's success, NARIT expressed its enthusiasm for future collaborations with Apadilangit. Both entities aim to work collaboratively to enhance human capacity and boost technological development through astronomy. 

The visit underscored the shared commitment of Apadilangit and NARIT to advancing scientific knowledge and fostering innovation in both counties and beyond.
