When we look upon the sky and gaze at the night sky, we are peering into the pages of cosmic history. This cosmic laboratory allows astronomers to study the nature of planets, stars, and galaxies and the origins of the universe and life itself. It addresses questions that intrigue us in our youth, such as the existence of extraterrestrial life, the birth of our planet, and even the genesis of galaxies.

NARIT conducts astronomical research in various fields, exploring extrasolar planets beyond our solar system, studying the evolution of stars at different wavelengths, investigating distant galaxies, black holes, and gravitational waves, and examining the Earth's atmosphere's impact on astronomical observations. This research extends to Thailand, including the study of cultural wisdom related to astronomy, reflecting the historical community practices.
