NARIT joins hands with FAST to strengthen Thai radio Astronomy.

NARIT led by Prof. Boonrucksar Soonthornthum, NARIT Executive Director put Thailand’s radio telescope to a new level as NARIT team visited the Five-hundred-metre Aperture Spherical radio Telescope (FAST) in Guizhou Province, PRC as part of their expedition to NAOC. The team was greeted by the executives of NAOC and FAST and an introduction of FAST was presented by Prof. Di Li, Deputy Director of FAST project and Project Scientist.

NARIT team visits Xinglong Observatory

Prof. Boonrucksar Soonthornthum, NARIT Executive Director led NARIT team to visit Xinglong Observatory as part of their visit to the National Astronomical Observatories of China (NAOC). Prof. Xiaojun Jiang, Director of Xinglong Observatory displayed his enthusiasm in showing NARIT its infrastructures and facilities NAOC has to offer on site.

Soaring Collaborations marked as NAOC and NARIT plan to sign MoU

Prof. Boonrucksar Soonthornthum, Executive director of the National Astronomical Research Institute of Thailand: NARIT paid a visit to the National Astronomical Observatories (NAOC), Chinese Academy of Sciences: (CAS) in the Chinese Capital of Beijing, People’s Republic of China to expand its horizons in the pursuit of new collaborations with the Chinese counterpart.

Thai – German relation wafts as 40-meter Radio Telescope pinpointed in Chiang Mai

The Contract of Procurement was inked earlier last week between the National Astronomical Research Institute of Thailand (Public Organization) and MT Mechatronics GmbH, Germany to entail the construction of 40-meter Radio Telescope in Northern Thailand.
